The State of Wyoming provides
Hathaway Merit and Need Based
Scholarships to all eligible Wyoming
students attending the University of
Wyoming or Wyoming Community
College.
Students who eat school breakfast at the start of the school day show a general increase in math and reading scores. Students who participate in school breakfast have lower rates of absence and tardiness. Students who eat a complete breakfast have fewer behavioral, emotional and academic problems.
Lunch Menu:
Lunch For Learning
A nutritious lunch is the pathway to higher test scores, better attendance and fewer behavior problems in school. Students who have school lunch consume more vegetables and milk, and less sugar, than those who do not eat school lunch. Properly nourished students more actively participate in the education experience, which benefits them, their fellow students, and the entire school community.
ON LINE PAYMENT CAPABILITY FOR FOOD SERVICE, NOW AVAILABLE
Food service is going green. We will no longer print out copies of the menu unless you make a special request. To see what is being served you can go to www.sw2.k12.wy.us and look under the Food Service tab. You will have the option of printing out the menu or looking up one day at a time. Our newsletters will also be put on the web along with any special celebrations we are having. We encourage all parents to visit our web site often, to see what is happening in Food Service.
Your student’s ID will remain the same as last year. If your student does not remember their number they can check at the register when they go through the breakfast or lunch line.
If your student had money still on their account last year, the amount was transferred with them to their next grade. Please remember that student‘s at the elementary schools are only allowed to charge five meals, not days.No ala carte items may be taken from your students account unless you have sent in written permission.
If your student had a negative balance on their account at the end of last year you must pay this before any money will be credited to your students account.
Each student has their own account, however, if you would like to send a check for more than one student at a given school, you must write a note to indicate how much you want on each child’s account. Please be sure to use your student’s proper first and last name so the money will be credited appropriately. Please check your infinite campus account to see your student account balance. If you do not have an account, or cannot remember your pass word, please speak with the school secretaries and they can assist you in getting this set up.
If your student was on free or reduced meals last year, he/she will be carried over to the 2012-2013 school year with the same status until October 1st, 2012 or until a new application is received and processed, whichever comes first. If we have not received a new application by the 1st, your students status will change to full pay until a new application is turned in and processed.
If your student was on temporary free status at the end of 2011-2012 school year, this status does not carry over. We will need a new application on file in order to determine your student’s status.
We strongly encourage all families to complete a free and reduced application even if your child does not intend to eat school meals. The number of qualifying students will determine, in large part, the funding our schools receive.
