Message from Special Services Director:
Mr. Don Borchardt:

My name is Don Borchardt and I am the Director of Special Services with Sweetwater County School District Number Two in Green River, Wyoming. As a District we work very hard to provide quality programs that meet the needs of all children and young adults. We look forward to working hand in hand with parents, community agencies and advocacy groups as we develop and implement individualized plans. We have developed a web page that we hope provides information and is easy to use. If you have questions or suggestions of things to add to our website let us know.

About our Department:

The Special Services Department of Sweetwater County School District #2 offers services to students who have a disability. We are committed to the success of each students educational process. In order for this to occur we are dedicated to working with parents, administrators, and staff to ensure the best placement for each individual student.

Commitment to the student's success is made by following the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA 2004) and Wyoming State Laws regarding Special Education. Decisions are made through the joint decision-making with parents, who know their child the best, and professional educators who have the knowledge of instructional practices.
